Student Affairs

Academy learning is a step towards student success. Community engagement and student activities are a part of student growth.
High school is one of the most important stages of life and there are many elements that contribute to academic success. Crown Academy Student Affairs is responsible for resolving issues brought to us by students, parents, and the community. Moreover, Student Affairs offers different programs and activities throughout the course of high school to foster student engagement with the community as well as to encourage students to strive for their goals.

Student Advisor

Student Transfer Advisor

  • Students who wish to transfer to Crown Academy can consult our transfer advisor. This service is provided to help students regarding transfer processes and procedures, as well as help them adjust to the school environment.

Student Academic Advisor

  • Crown Academy provides the one-on-one session with students to help them clarify study paths, develop plans for future studies, and choose courses that fit into their post-secondary studies. Our academic advisor can help students explore and develop aspects of their academic studies.


Accommodation

Crown Academy provide residence, agencies, and advisors for students who have trouble looking for a place to stay throughout the school year.

Student Residence

  • Crown Academy provides a safe and convenient place for students to live in while studying locally or abroad. School residence is a 15-minute walking distance from the school campus. Crown Academy provides nutritional meal plans up to three times a day. We have a resident advisor to help students with their problems throughout the day.

Homestay

  • Homestay is an agency that Crown Academy recommends for international students studying abroad. It provides three meals a day. Students will be able to enjoy food from their home country as well as experience different styles of Canadian cuisine. Homestay is able to quickly help the student learn and adapt to the new environment.

Resident Advisor

  • A resident advisor lives within the Crown Academy residential community. The resident advisor is responsible for leading, guiding and assisting students to adapt to a new environment. A group of the student body is also committed to building a diverse Crown Academic residential community.
 


Visa Extension

Crown Academy help students who wish to study in Canada apply and extend their entry visa and study permit.

Entry Visa:

  • A Temporary Resident Visa is an official document issued by the Canada visa office to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident either as a visitor, a student, or a worker.
  • Documents that need to be included to apply for Entry Visa:
    • Passport
    • Bank Statement
    • Study Permit
    • School Letter
    • Transcript
    • Photo ID

Study Permit:

  • To extend your study permit in Canada you should apply 30 days before your status expires. You cannot extend your study permit beyond the expiry date on your passport. If you apply before your permit expires, you can stay in Canada under the same conditions as your current study permit until you get a decision from the government.

Airport Pick-up/Drop-off

Crown Academy provides the student a safe and efficient airport pick-up and drop-off service.

It can be difficult not knowing how to navigate in and out of Toronto Pearson Airport. We provide airport pick-up and drop-off service for international students attending Crown Academy.

We offer two different options for pick-up and drop-off service. Option one is called upon arrival and option two is pre-scheduled service. On time pick-up at your home and at the airport terminal. Our service is for your convenience and comfort.

 
 

On Campus Activities

Crown Academy focuses on student academic learning as well as extracurricular clubs and after school programs. This gives students opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom, meet new people, lead others and learn different skill sets.
